Lily’s deep connection to nature began in childhood, thanks to her parents' lessons of observing and appreciating the natural world. Early encouragement to be active outdoors in all seasons has led to a lifelong curiosity about plants and animals, and ultimately to her drive to paint this subject matter.  Her fondness and respect for nature has only grown stronger with time, and currently her art has evolved into a focused exploration of bird portraiture.  

In today’s fast paced world, it’s so easy to overlook their presence on the other side of your window. Hopefully by honoring these free spirits with regal portraits will encourage everyone to look up, and take notice of the beautiful creatures right in our backyards.
